Visit Italy and its active vulcanos from North to South
Stromboli is one of the most active volcanoes on Earth and has been erupting almost continuously since 1932
Italy is a continuous changing land mass.
Bradicism is typical in the central part of Italy so that we can see how whole cities have sunken and come back to the level of today (see Pozzuoli area).
For the Vulcano climbers it is a haven.
See Mt Vesuvius and climb it to the top level to see the Bay of Naples and imagine what it must have been like 2000 years ago during the eruption.
Then on to Sicily to visit Mt Etna continually active and erupting causing major havoc among the residences and the airport nearby.
Then on to a small island called Stromboli, the most monitored volcano in the world.
It is a continuous eruption that never stops and changes the island every second.
It has a population of 400 that are extremely proud of their island. Vulcanos are considered pagan gods.
Stromboli is referred to in a very respectful way as “Iddu”.
